COVID-19 Vaccine Information
The State of New Jersey has a registration system where you can register to get the COVID-19 Vaccine. We recommend everyone register as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding the vaccine or COVID-19, please feel free to call the office and schedule an appointment to get them answered. We can continue to accomodate you in our newly renovated office with social distancing or via TeleMedicine visit on the phone or computer.
Vaccines are being given to those determined to be the most susceptible first and this will expand as more vaccines and sites become available. Registering in the above system will surely help this process of distributing the vaccine to 4-5 million New Jersey residents as is the goal by May 2021. This is a daunting task and everyone's cooperation and patience will help our community get protected and assuredly will save lives.
ADAPTING TO COVID-19
In these unprecedented times, we wanted to share with you our continued guidance on how best to manage the difficult challenges ahead. We have spent the past few days preparing to be available for your medical needs despite the obvious challenges ahead. While they may seem insurmountable at times, we are confident that together, we will overcome.
While 'social distancing' has suddenly become the norm, and words like 'quarantine' and 'isolation' take over our lives, our first challenge is to continue to care for and interact with you, our patients. We are proud to have set up TELEMEDICINE SERVICES so that we can stay connected while taking the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of spread within our community. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have proclaimed that these services will be covered under your current health plans, and to date, it seems most Commercial Insurance Plans are following this lead.
The addition of Telemedicine will not only allow us to stay connected to you, it will also help our community comply with social distancing. We expect to have less patients waiting together in the waiting room in the upcoming days/weeks. Furthermore, we are screening patients for symptoms and/or high risk exposure, and guiding them with the appropriate care and services. These new practices will allow our continued commitment of optimal care for our patients all while reducing the chance of exposure at the office for those that need to be seen in person for various reasons.
If you have been to the office lately, you may have noticed that we have instituted a text/call reminder service for appointments. We will use this system to share further information with you. Please also check back here or call the office with other questions.
